Clean carpet in the living room adds to my holiday spirit!!

Today we are getting our carpets professionally cleaned!! I'm so excited that we are getting it done since Claire is rolling around now!! She is so close to crawling and I just kept thinking about how gross our carpets were in the living room! Since we live in an apartment we have cheap ass carpet that is basically paper thin and it gets dirty quick. Especially in front of the couch and right by the door. We will definitely need to get better about taking our shoes off at the door now instead of walking all over the carpet with wet shoes.

Chris and I moved all of the furniture into our other rooms and slid the couches into the kitchen area! I'm glad it all fit in other places. Chris kept talking about how we have too much crap. I agree so maybe once we put it back later tonight we will go through stuff and get rid of it. Maybe we will make a nice donation to the thrift store for the holidays.

I'm hoping that with the carpets being professionally done that it will bring some of the fluff back in them. Doubtful, yes but I'm still hopeful! haha. I am also excited for the carpets to be dry so then I can start decorating for Christmas....yes Christmas. Chris told me not until after Thanksgiving but I'm dying to decorate now!!! It seems to be in the air since it started snowing this week!

The holidays are just so exciting this year since it's Claire's first for everything!! :) I can't wait to wrap her presents but I can't do it just yet. I like to look over through the things we got her just in case I want to get her more! Haha. We are keeping it low key for her since she will only be 9 months. I don't think we need to go crazy and spend a ton of money this year! She will also get spoiled from her grandparents!!

Well that's enough of my rambling for the day. I'm going to sneak a peek at the carpet while he is finishing up! :)

Best Moments of My Life!!

I had one of these moments last night with our sweet girl! She woke up a few times in the night crying. I couldn't exactly figure out why she was upset but it was so sad. It wasn't just her normal crying because she's tired, it almost seemed like she was just scared of being alone in her room and she was tired. I fed her, changed her, tried to burp her twice but nothing seemed to help unless I held her. Chris was working late for the Camp for Hunger thing for his work! I decided to bring her in bed with me! We snuggled but our little missy was right smack in the middle of the bed, diagnally! So funny how someone so small can take up a big bed! I was snuggling my face close to hers and she turned toward me so our noses were touching and she fell asleep right away!! I love moments like this that I can hopefully remember! I know writing them down will definitely help me remember them all over the years! :) She makes my heart melt!

It's Halloween!!

The day is here and our little Monkey is going to help us pass out some candy to the trick-or-treaters if we even get any. Haha. We had a fun day at Boo in the Zoo yesterday. She was so excited she slept through most of it. I had a sleepy monkey on my hands!

It was a long weekend for me. Chris raced all weekend which means no real break for Mommy to have time to myself but that's ok. I always have fun with my sweet girl! I got some math homework done and will keep working on some of it tonight and hopefully watch a scary movie or two.

Sweet girl won't take a nap right now. She's been lying quietly in her crip for 45 minutes though so I guess that's ok. I just hate leaving her in her crib like that but it was her nap time and she seemed tired when I put her down.

I'm slowly but surely getting our huge mound of laundry cleaned today. I don't mind washing and folding most of the time...I just hate putting it away. I think that can be Chris' job since I washed it all. :)

Today we are going shopping for our sweet girl's first Halloween costume!! So excited...pics to come of it. Or at least a post of what it is! Yay!

Bananas and Carrots

Oh my gosh, I am making a post...it's been a really long time! I just wanted to post about Claire trying bananas for the first time yesterday morning. She seemed to like them. She had a better reaction to sweet potatoes though. I will have her try some more today after her next bottle. She is doing really well with trying new foods. She is really starting to watch Chris and I while we eat. I usually will let her try a tiny bit of what we are eating unless of course it's a food that she can't have. She isn't supposed to have honey, nuts, or eggs. I know there is something else but I honestly can't remember. haha. That sounds bad but she is really only eating just her fresh fruits and veggies. She also tried carrots a little bit and she doesn't seem to be a big fan of them yet. I am having fun making different stuff for her though. It's nice to be able to make it all fresh for her.

Today is October 1st which I just cannot believe it's that time of year already. We are going to take Claire to get her first Halloween costume this Sunday!

This Saturday is going to be busy, busy for Chris and I!! We are having a yard sale at his parent's house with some of his Aunts and Uncles. It's going to be a huge yard sale but we are hoping to make some money to go toward paying down our debt quicker. If we go at the pace we are going now, we will be debt free in the beginning of 2013. I figured we can just try to pay things down a little quicker. I am hoping to at least be debt free before baby #2 comes along (no I'm not pregnant right now, and no we aren't trying to get pregnant).

My brother called last night and he is going to be moving to the Philippines in a couple weeks for work. He will be gone for about 2 months and he seems really excited. I think it's a great opportunity for him and he loves to travel anyway...why not get paid for it at the same time. We are hoping he can get some time off when he gets home in December for Christmas. He will hopefully fly here and he can enjoy Claire's first Christmas with all of us! He hasn't seen her in person since the day she was born and she will be 9 months at Christmas. It will be a great time for all of us hopefully! :)

Sorry...I don't feel like blogging at all lately!! I have lots of new pics that I post up on facebook and will eventually get around to putting some that I didn't post up here.

It's the weekend!

My Dad got into town yesterday from Portland. He got to see Claire in person again since she was first born...now she is a whopping 15 pounds instead of 7 pounds! She really loves her Grandpa Dan. She likes to look at him and smile! All 4 of us went to the Farmer's Market this morning. We got some BBQ Sauce, Raspberries, and Blueberries. Yummy! Raspberries have been my favorite lately and they are just so good! Tonight we may go to the Speedway for a bit but I'm not sure how Claire will do. We are going to put head phones to cover her ears so it's not loud for her. I also worry about how hot it will be today. We may not be able to stay for long. Chris has to work at the Cricket booth which is a bummer but at least my Dad will be there to sit with us. Tomorrow I'm not sure what we will do. Maybe just relax for the day! I'm jealous of Chris' parent's, Nick, and Lauren. They are in Texas visiting Nick since he graduated from boot camp and they are going to Sea World today. I cannot wait until Claire is old enough and we can take her there! She will love it....and I will too! Haha. Well, It's nap time for the both of us now! I hope everyone has a great weekend!

I love being nerdy!

On Tuesday I had orientation at CWI. I'm excited to say that I am a student and very much excited about that! I've always liked school and after high school I went straight to college full time. I loved it but I got burnt out pretty easily and started to let my grades drop. I took a break and it is definitely time to get back into things. I'm going to be taking 2 classes and then applying to the Surgical Tech program in January!! I'm hoping that everything will work out great and I can start this 3 semester program in June! A couple of my dreams will come true....I will graduate from college and I will also have a great medical job. I've always wanted to be a vet, doctor, or nurse. I never thought about being a surgical technician until a friend started the program at a different college! I just hope things work out or else I will have to wait a full year until I can apply again. Ugh! Keeping our fingers crossed and happy thoughts. I'm not really looking forward to Math but I am going to aim high and push for straight A's this semester! I know I can do this!

Sleeping Beauty...

Picnic in the Park!

Chris stayed home from work on Monday and we decided it was a nice day out and we should go to the park. I packed up some peanut butter and honey sandwiches along with some other goodies and we headed off. It was such a nice day. There was a breeze which made the shade even nicer once we got to the park. We set out a blanket and started to eat. Claire was sitting up in her stroller like a big girl and she looked so cute! She saw that we were eating so of course she is hungry too! I gave her a bottle and then layed her down on the blanket. What a ham! :) We were at the park for about an hour and then we were ready to go back home! It's the same park that plays movies on Fridays throughout the summer. Last Friday when Chris was out of town I took Claire to go see "Where The Wild Things Are." My Mom, Joe, Sarah, and Jamie came along as well. Claire got really fussy and had about enough of being outside so I sadly had to take her home before the movie started. Once she was in her carseat she was so happy and once the car started to move she passed out. Hehe. I'm loving this summer so far!

She's Trying!!

Claire has started to enjoy tummy time a little bit more. I think it's because she has learned to move her legs around and up under herself. She just needs to learn to use her arms and I swear she would be crawling already. Haha. Her legs have always been so strong, she loves to stand up!

She also has been drooling like crazy. She wears a bib now because she just soaks her outfits without one. She loves to chew on her chilled teething rings. She still needs help getting it to her mouth but she is getting the hang of holding it herself! She's getting so big and I just love seeing her grow up....even though it makes me cry! I'm just so proud of my baby girl!

Our 4th of July!

Sadly our Claire bear wasn't feeling well. Chris and I were going to go to the Meridian Speedway to see the fireworks show and Claire was going to be at his parent's house since we thought it would be too loud for her little ears. Chris went to the speedway for a couple hours to take pictures and I stayed at home with her. She had a really bad diaper rash and I just wanted her to lay out on a towel without a diaper. She was so sleepy that she was in bed by 7:30pm. Super early for her. She usually goes to bed around 10pm. Chris and I watched the fireworks on our balcony and it was really nice just being at home!

Farmer's Market Saturdays!

Chris, Claire and I went to the Farmer's Market downtown this morning! I got a peach crepe and Chris ate a breakfast burrito! Mmmm...it was delicious! Claire was in her stroller and fell asleep for a little while. I bought a huge round loaf of sourdough bread. I can't wait to try it. Chris got some jerky sticks and we bought some Idaho creamed honey!! I have decided that it would be a great idea to try to go down every Saturday to buy our produce and meat for the week. It's all fresh and locally grown! I think it would be fun to try it that way for the summer when they have the farmer's market going. Here is a picture of us girls at the Market! Good Day Today.

Yep, today I got the IUD. I was pretty nervous about it...well just about the pain but it actually didn't hurt like I thought it would. Just a little uncomfortable at some parts. Now I will just have it taken out in a year or so when Chris and I are ready to try for baby #2. No rush though! We are enjoying every little moment with our Claire bear! I think sometimes it would be fun to have 2 babies really close in age but I don't want to miss anything with either baby!

Today I also got my order of 175 pictures of Claire. Haha. I uploaded a whole bunch of pictures onto Walmart.com and ordered them. I love it. For 166 4x6's and 9 5x7's it was only $29 and delivered to the house! Pretty sweet in my opinion. Now I'm going to scrapbook.

Claire was a great baby girl today as always. We ran errands this morning...some took way too long such as getting my oil changed. I'm pretty sure we were there for about an hour! Lame. Luckily she fell asleep in the car while we waited instead of getting upset.

I bought myself some clothes...very much needed! I hope to get a little more soon but we will see.

Tonight I'm going out on a date by myself. I'm actually looking forward to doing something I haven't done since I was pregnant with Claire. The last time I went to a movie alone was to see The Princess and The Frog. It was a cute movie. Tonight I am going to go see Knight and Day. Don't get me wrong...Chris and I love to go on our date nights together but I need a little bit of a mommy break for a few hours.

Yay for Friday! Very good day today!

Buying a Scale....

So I always told myself that I wouldn't ever buy a scale because I would become obsessed with weighing myself and I just don't think it's that great on one's self esteem to always weigh yourself. But I weighed myself a couple times at the in-laws house on their little scale and my weight has been stuck at 146. That is driving me nuts. I am always doing some form of exercise everyday. If I don't do my 30 day shred DVD I've been swimming or going for walks with Claire. The last 20 just don't seem to want to budge. I don't like them living on me and I'm ready for them to move out! Haha I think for the time being I'm going to buy myself a scale so I can keep track of my progress so it helps with the motivation factor!! To at least know that I'm getting somewhere and I'm healthy is my ultimate goal. A healthy weight for my height is 105-125lbs. I don't think I would ever get down to 105...I really am not sure how well I would look. I have been eating healthier for months now. Yesterday was the first time in a while I actually ate candy and I got a pretty bad stomach ache. Haha. I didn't like that but I did like the fact that my body isn't used to all of that sugar and yuckiness. I really do enjoy eating healthy. I don't crave the crappy junk food and chocolate all the time like I did before. I know it takes time but I feel like I should see some progress by now....maybe a pound or two would be nice. Grrr!

Eclipse

I went to the movie Eclipse with Sarah and Kristi. It was pretty fun! We went out to lunch before with Claire and I got a turkey wrap. It was so good! Claire stayed at Grandma Wold's while I went to the movies. She was a little fussy gus for some of the time and she was happy to see me when I got there to pick her up! I like hanging out with friends...it's always a nice break from being Mommy 24/7 but nothing beats seeing my sweet girls face!!

14 Weeks Old!

Sweet girl is 14 weeks old today! We are going swimming today at Grandma and Grandpa Wold's house just like we did yesterday! Here are some pictures from yesterday! Lovin' my baby girl!

Boise Rec Festival

Chris, Claire and I went to Ann Morrison Park this morning to go to the Boise Rec Festival. I think it may be the first year it's been here and they have booths about activities you can do around Idaho such as biking, hiking, rafting, tennis, etc. It was neat but it will be even more fun when Claire is old enough to participate in some of the activities. They were teaching little kids how to golf and play tennis. It was too cute to see some of the little girls in little tennis skirts! Haha. Chris and I got frozen cokes and crab salads! They were huge salads but really good! Claire hung out in her stroller and decided to flash us while we were eating. Maybe she was getting hot and that was her way of telling us. Haha. After Ann Morrison Park we walked across the street to Albertson Park. I've never been there before and it was beautiful. I hope to get some family pictures of us there sometime soon when it's a nice day out! Now we are relaxing at home in the nice air conditioning.

New Goal...All About Me!

So I haven't done my 30 day shred everyday but I have still exercised everyday. I have either gone for a long walk and yesterday I went swimming...that's a great way to exercise! :) I'm going to do my 30 day shred again this morning! I have a new goal in mind though; I really want to stop being a frumpy mommy! I'm 23 and I feel like I look older, or like a mess because I don't ever make myself look nice. I need to make myself a priority and actually do my hair everyday! I love how healthy my hair is and it would be great if I stopped throwing it up into a yucky ponytail everyday. Today is day 1....pictures will come later after my workout and shower! I'm so happy it's Friday. Only a few more hours of work and Chris will be home and we can relax all weekend!

A Day of Firsts!!

Claire and I went swimming today. It was her first time ever and my first time of this summer! :) She seemed to enjoy herself. I had to run to Target to get her a new swimsuit since the one we got her before she was born ended up being to short...she is too long for it!! It was such a cute swimsuit too!! I also bought her a pack of Little Swimmers Diapers and they were massive but it seemed to work. haha.After she had fun in the pool, we headed to Claire's boutique and met up with Chris there after he got off of work. We took Claire to get her ears pierced. I think it will be a good choice to do it now when she isn't touching her ears and I can clean them without her rolling around everywhere! She did such a good job but I hated to hear her cry. My poor girl, I'm just glad she was over it in about 5 minutes. I picked the pretty white crystal daisy earrings...they will pretty much go with all of her outfits! :)

Oh how I just love this sweet face!! Here are a few pictures I took yesterday of Claire since it was her 3 month birthday!! She loves to sit up and to stand up while she holds our hands! I think we may have an early walker on our hands but if that's not the case, that's ok too!
Tonight we taking Claire to Claire's to get her ears pierced!! I hope it all goes smoothly and I will have a bottle ready for when she starts crying! Hopefully that will help soothe her quickly! She is such a great baby girl and we just love her so much!!

Happy 3 Month Birthday Sweet Girl!!

Today I can say I am the mommy of a 3 month old!! Claire is my pride and joy and I love her so much!! I love that I finally understand what it means when a parent says they love their child so much they can't even start to describe it! I love her smiles when she is waking up and I also love it when she is sleeping in my arms! She looks like an angel! I love spending my day with her and I think of her always during the times we are apart (which is a rare occurance! haha). She is my sweet girl! Happy 3 month birthday baby bear!

I wanted to make a post for Chris!! I'm so proud of you with all that you are accomplishing! You told me yesterday that your GPA is above a 3.5 and I want you to know how proud I am of you! You are such a great husband, daddy to Claire, and a great worker. On top of it all, you are also a great student! I love you so much! Claire bear is so proud of you too! She just told me so! ;)

Cash Money Millionaires....

Okay so maybe we aren't millionaires but I'm excited to say that Claire bear and I made a whopping $128 at the yard sale today. I think that's a pretty good deal! Sold a bunch of crap and made a great amount of money. We may use some of it for spending money but I think I may open up a savings account for Claire on Monday! :) Also gonna go toward groceries!! Very much needed right now, we are running on low! It is super hot outside (I can say this because I'm as pale as a ghost and burn like a lobster!) I can't wait to get in the pool this summer. Off to make that grocery list! Happy Saturday....so looking forward to Father's Day tomorrow!

Yard Sale Tomorrow!

I'm having a yard sale at Chris' parent's house tomorrow! I'm so excited to actually sell a bunch of our stuff that we have collected over the years and never use! :) We are selling lots of clothes, shoes, video games, board games and fun stuff like that! Let's see how much I can make tomorrow! Yay for extra cash!

Thursday!

I wasn't sure what else to call this post so yeah....there ya go. Plain ol' Thursday. Haha. Claire bear and I had a great day! We went to Chris' work this morning so Claire could meet his boss from Salt Lake City. After that we went up to Emmett for the Cherry Festival. Chris was working at the Cricket booth so I thought it would be nice to walk around and visit with him when he wasn't busy! Some strange lady asked if she could hold Claire and I said "No, I am going to go get a drink right now." Creepy! I think it's kind of strange that a perfect stranger would ask to hold my baby.... Anyways, we sat in the grass and listened to a couple people sing which was fun. Claire started to get fussy. We said goodbye to Daddy and went to the car. I put her in her carseat and she was passed out before I even put her in the car. Haha. My poor baby was just sleepy. I am on Day 3 of my 30 day shred, I worked out after Claire's nap. She lays on her play mat and watches as I work out. It's good entertainment for her and she is my little cheerleader. She is great motivation to keep pushing myself when I want to give up too soon! I went to the store and got a lot of fresh fruit! Mmmmm. I bought cherries, strawberries, grapes, and cucumbers....I know cucumbers aren't fruit. Claire had a bath and then started screaming her little head off. I thought maybe she had gas but sure enough an hour and a half after eating she wanted to eat again. She just wanted to snuggle and then go to bed! My sweet girl, I just love her so much. Chris and I are just bummin' on the couch now. It's so nice! It's also Friday tomorrow....maybe I will bake some chocolate cupcakes for Father's Day! :)

Jillian Michael's 30 Day Shred!!

I'm on day 2 and feeling great! I am staying motivated and I feel happier already knowing that I'm doing this for myself!! I am continuing to eat healthy meals and if I feel like I'm going to slip then I will read my health magazine and it helps me stay focused!! I just want to change my life for the better and be an active person!! I'm hoping to go rock climbing soon at the YMCA for fun! I think Chris wants to come with me as well! It will be great! Life is great and I'm feeling so good about myself. I'm going to go make an inspirational/motivational board right now to help me along the way! I will post pics soon!

12 weeks old!

Today, our Sweet Girl is 12 weeks old!! Holy cow, where has the time gone. I can remember as if it were yesterday being over my due date with her crying to Chris, "I just want her to come out, I'm so tired of being pregnant!" Now my baby is almost 3 months old and I really wouldn't mind if she were just back in my belly for safe keeping. Haha.

I love her so much and she really just amazes Chris and I everyday. She is laughing, squealing, cooing, and attempting to roll over. She still hates tummy time so we rarely do it but she can still hold her head up great and has been able to since she was tiny, tiny....ok she is still tiny. She loves going for walks with me during the week and it's nice for the both of us to get outside!

She is such a sweet baby and it's so crazy to say but I can't remember our life without her. It just seems as if she has always been with us! I love dressing her up. She wears bracelets and headbands and soon she will have her ears pierced! Chris doesn't mind if or when we do that so I decided to just have them done once she is 3 months old so I can make sure they stay clean and don't get infected. It's better to do it now instead of when she starts crawling and can touch them with dirty baby fingers. Hehe.

Happy 12 week birthday Sweet Girl! Mommy loves you!

Sudden shift in mood...

I'm not quite sure what happened....I was feeding Claire and it was all fine like normal. I usually try to pre-mix her formula so the powder dissolves and also because I know her bottles clog several times through feedings. Well I didn't do that because I needed to wash the blender so I shook a bottle up and started to feed her. All of a sudden my mood shifted (it's weird because I could feel it happening), Claire started crying several different times because her bottle was clogged. Ugh! All of a sudden my stress was through the roof. I dropped the bottle on the ground, set Claire in her crib, closed her door and went into the kitchen. It was so hard because Claire was screaming her little head off. I wanted so badly to comfort her but I felt like I had to breathe. I made a huge batch of formula in the blender, counted from 10 down to 1 and tried again. My poor baby girl had her face covered in tears and I just held her and told her I was sorry. She finally ate and fell asleep for a nap. I felt guilty for getting upset. I know it's perfectly normal for a parent to feel this way from time to time. I haven't felt this way since Claire was first born when I was so sleep deprived. I learned quickly how to just let it roll of my shoulder when Claire started crying or screaming. I learned to just comfort her and not let it get to me. She is a pretty easy baby for the most part as far as I know (considering she's my first) but today it just got to me and I couldn't help it. At least I did the right thing and let her cry for a few mintues while I calmed down. I would never hurt her in any way, it was just a strange feeling to feel so angry over something so insignificant. Well, she's been great for the rest of the day! I'm gonna go fix some dinner now.

Eagle Fun Days!

Sweet girl and I had a fun day at the Eagle Fun Days!! We walked around with Grammy and Grandpa Draze to see all of the booths there. I got a pulled pork sandwich and oh my gosh it was delicious! :) Claire loved looking around at everyone! We watched the parade which was fun and packed full of people! At the end of the parade there were lots of trucks just full of barrels of water. So many people had squirt guns and they were getting everyone wet. It was fun to see the little kids having so much fun! That will be Claire next year when she can walk! :) After the parade we stopped by Subway and I got an icecream cone! We enjoyed ourselves and can't wait until next year! Here we are together! It's my new favorite picture of the two of us! Tomorrow will be another fun filled day at the zoo! We are hoping to feed the giraffes and see some new monkies! They also have some wallabies! How exciting. This summer is going to be a great one!

Short Post....Great Memories!

I just posted about our day but I was looking through past posts that have belly pictures from when I was pregnant with Claire bear and oh my goodness I just loved being pregnant!! I am so happy to have our baby girl here but being pregnant with her was just so amazing and I loved how I felt with her (besides the morning sickness and rib aches) but it truly is a great experience that I feel so lucky to have had!! I'm so excited and looking forward to our future! ;)

Pure Laziness!!

Sooo Claire and I were just lazy as could be today!! She slept from 9:30pm til 6:15am, had a bottle, layed in bed with me and we talked for an hour, then we fell back asleep until 11:30am!! I cannot believe how much she slept!! I really feel so absolutely lucky to have such an amazing baby girl! I just love her so much and she always puts a huge smile on my face! We went and visited Chris' parents today for a little while and did absolutely nothing but sit on their couch. Haha Then we came home and I reheated some leftovers. Chris and I took Claire for a walk to Walgreens to get some cream soda! Yum!! Then we bummed around on the couch and watched our show, Entourage. What a great Friday night with our little family. I'm looking forward to Sunday to take Claire to the zoo for the first time.

Our Day Together!!

This morning Claire was a little stuffy and had a random cough so we decided to stay home instead of visit Grandpa Wold just in case she is getting sick. I wanted to do some cooking today so I thought I would take pictures of our adventure today! It's all from Claire's perspective. Haha.

Good morning!! It's time for me to get dressed for the day!! Mommy and I are gonna go for a walk to the store to get some flour! Here I am after our walk...I was pretty tired so I decided to nap for a little bit. When I woke up I did a little bit of stretching. I'm getting a little closer to rolling over each day!Mommy took a picture of us and then we were on our way to the kitchen.Here I am, I don't look very happy but I was actually concentrating and checking to make sure we have all of the ingredients. And we did!

While the cookies were baking, I decided to help Mommy with some chores. Here I am on the washing machine getting ready to load it with some clothes.

I can see it filling up with water.Look at that bed!! It's so messy. I better help her make it.We took the old sheets off and I picked the pink ones to put on. Here I am hiding. Silly Mommy almost tucked me under them.

So many pillows and it looks so much better!Mommy put me on my playmat so she could get the cookies out of the oven and to also make banana pudding for Grandpa Wold.Here I am supervising...While the cookies cool down I thought I should help fold my laundry. How can I make so much laundry? I'm so small!I actually decided to supervise again while Mommy folded it.
