Kellyn is 3 weeks old as of Friday already. It's gone by fairly fast. The first 2 weeks were very overwhelming. It's getting better each day. I just hate having those moments of feeling overwhelmed. I have such an amazing husband though and I couldn't imagine doing this without him...well obviously it wouldn't have happened without him but I'm happy he is the one I'm going through life with!! He is helpful and asks me often if I'm ok. I feel terrible when I feel overwhelmed and I sound like a crab and I'm rude to him but I try my hardest to not be. I try to tell him how much I appreciate all that he does and sometimes I feel like I don't tell him often enough. I hope you read this post, baby, because I love you more then I could describe and you are such a great husband and Daddy to our girls!
My Mom was here for the week. It was so so so great to have her here. I miss her a lot. Her company and help at home with the girls was amazing!! She took care of Kellyn for two nights in a row during the week so Chris and I could sleep all night. Let me just tell you I felt like I could do it all after having two full nights of sleep...too bad I still felt like I needed sleep after doing some things around the house! It's so nice to be caught up on laundry. I just need to keep it up doing a small load or two each day and it won't be too much at once. I look forward to the next time I can see her again!
Claire still loves her baby sister. She gets overly excited and can get a little rough around her sister but at least it's not out of disliking her. Claire worries about Kellyn when she is crying. We are still learning the juggling act of two kids. I want to keep Claire as involved as I can but sometimes I don't necessarily want her to help because I just want to get something done fast. Sounds terrible but I'm sure I'm not the only one who has ever felt this way! I try my hardest to stay calm and to just slow down but it's hard and I snap at her and it upsets the both of us. I know things will keep getting better and smooth out once Kellyn sleeps a little longer at night, we are still settling into a routine. I shouldn't complain about her sleeping though because she is a great sleeper (knock on wood). She is sleeping for 3-4 hours in between feedings. Chris gets up for one and I get up for one which is so nice.
Well it's taken me two days to type this up so I better post it up before it's lost!

Kellyn Marlee has arrived!!
It's a bit late but I guess that's expected when you are a busy family of 4!! Kellyn Marlee arrived on May 4th, 2012 at 12:50pm. She weighed 7lbs 5oz and was 18 1/4'' long.
Here we are waiting in the hospital before they get me set up for my c-section.

Not sure if she will ever stop crying. hehe
Daddy seemed to have the special touch to get her to calm down.
First bath at the hospital.
Love her little cheeks!
Not even 24 hours old and she was pushing up off of my chest and holding her head up. We were all very surprised. She's a strong one!

So sweet and such a good sleeper so far....we hope she will be a good sleeper like Claire bear!
We came home on Monday May 7th and have been resting and adjusting to life with a new little one and a toddler who needs lots of loves too!! It's going surprisingly well but we do have our rough patches. Claire does act out a little more then before but we are trying our hardest to include her in as many things as we can and trying to give her as much one on one attention we can. She has been having lots of time with Daddy and seems to be loving it, it's nice to see them bonding so much this past week!
I have been sleeping in the recliner in Kellyn's room since we got home since it hurts my incision to lay flat. I'm feeling much better now that it's been a week so tonight I will try to sleep in bed. It's strange not sleeping in the same bed as Chris...we never sleep in separate rooms but it's what I needed since I can't lay flat. Tonight is my last night with pain meds. I've been on just one pain pill every four hours since yesterday and then one gigantic ibuprofen every 8 hours. I'm feeling great and think the one ibuprofen should do it for me if I need anything. I tried laying in bed last night and cried when I layed flat on my back. My insides weren't squished and it didn't feel too bad. It made me cry knowing that I wouldn't feel Kellyn in my belly anymore and that I most likely will never feel another baby in my belly again. I definitely ok with not having to go through another c-section again though. I am so happy with our two girls and so happy for all that Chris has done for us three this past week.
