May 9th!!

So happy to say that our second ultrasound was a lot happier then the first one!! I was so worried that something would really be wrong and that maybe a baby won't be there!! I was happily wrong and we got to see our little baby bean!! We also got to see the flicker of a heartbeat and hear it! Bean is measuring at 6w6d which is 3 days further along then I thought!! I'm ok with that! I am due May 9th and if I decide to have a repeat C-section then I can schedule that as early as May 2nd!! Wow! It's still so unreal and very exciting!! As far as I'm concerned right now we will be done after 2 babies. Haha. My mind will most likely change when this little one is about 18 months old and I've really forgotten how yucky I feel right now! I cried when I heard the heartbeat! It's just such a wonderful sound! So strange to see a living being on the screen that is really growing in my belly! I'm looking forward to this experience and journey until next Spring! I'm just wishing for a healthy, happy 33 more weeks!

Nausea!

Blah! It's hit earlier in this pregnancy then I remember when I was pregnant with Claire. I'm thinking I was closer to the 8/9 week mark with her and as far as I know I'm about 5w3d with this little bean! It started 2 days ago and it just comes in waves and then goes away! Ugh, thank goodness for my preggie pop drops. They surprisingly help a lot! Just another week and a day until our next ultrasound! I'm hoping things are still going well for baby bean #2 and that we will see a little heartbeat on the screen! I should be about 6w3d by then! Looking back at ultrasounds I was 6 weeks exactly with Claire when we saw her little heartbeat! I'm happy she keeps me busy too so I'm not constantly thinking about it and before I know it the 20th will be here!

Momma called the doctor and the doctor said...

...exactly what I already knew since last night. haha I'm happy that I got my results myself because they like to tell you minimal over the phone it seems. She told me that my first number shows that I am really early in the pregnancy (which I tried to tell them) and that my numbers looked great and they more then doubled.......ummm I should have told her I know and that they actually tripled! haha She said my progesterone levels looked great and are reassuring that I should maintain my pregnancy! My next appointment is September 20th for another ultrasound. Keep sending healthy baby thoughts our way!

Even though I like my doctor I don't like the mini breakdown that I had to have on Tuesday over nothing! I don't like the fact that I had to be scared of losing our little bean (even though that never really goes away even after pregnancy). I'm happy though that for right now things are great and I hope they continue to be that way!!

Ok I take it back....

I don't have one more day because I'm impatient. I called the hospital and asked when I could get my results. She said they were done and I could come pick them up since she can't give me the info over the phone. I patiently waited for Claire to wake up and then we were off on our way!

So my doctor said that if the numbers dropped from the first blood draw that could mean miscarriage, if the numbers stay about level then that means a possible ectopic pregnancy (baby in fallopian tube) and if the numbers double like they're supposed to then it means it can be a healthy pregnancy! Well great news because my numbers TRIPLED! That's right. It went from 937 to a whopping 2843! I'm beyond happy with those results. My progesterone level was 32.2 and from what I've read doctor's are happy with 15-20 and anything below 15 may not keep the baby and I would have to take progesterone supplements. I still need to call the doctor in the morning to get my results since she doesn't know that I got them already!

I'm scheduled to have another ultrasound with my doctor in 2 weeks and I have high hopes still that we may be able to see baby Wold #2 on the screen! Still keep happy thoughts coming our way for a healthy baby!

Just one more day...

Just have to wait until tomorrow morning to get my final blood results in from the hospital. Long story short, the appointment didn't go as expected last Tuesday. Doctor's go off of your last period and according to that they think I should be over 6 weeks pregnant...I'm not. I know I'm only about 4 weeks pregnant. I don't have a normal 28 day cycle. I had an ultrasound to confirm everything but nothing was there. The doctor said my uterus is preparing for a baby but she couldn't see a baby. I had a blood draw on Tuesday and again today. My pregnancy levels should double in between blood draws and I should know if they did tomorrow morning! I got my results from Tuesday and my levels are great so far but hard to tell what it means without something to compare it to.

My doctor had me all freaked out thinking I could potentially miscarry or that I could be having an ectopic pregnancy (which means baby is in my fallopian tube) and I would need to have surgery possibly if they couldn't dissolve the pregnancy with a chemotherapeutic shot. Ugh!! Why oh why do they have to scare you!? I don't have a bad feeling about this baby...I feel that everything is fine and feel confident. I read a bunch of different articles online and talked with other Mommies to be on my pregnancy website who have gone through this or are going through it now and things are just fine in the end.

I'm pretty healthy and never had any complications with my pregnancy with Claire and any other type of reproductive issues so I just don't see how something would be wrong. Tuesday was a terrible day and night. I worked that night and cried a lot off and on for the first 6 hours of my shift. lol My coworkers probably thought I was drugged out or something because my eyes were bright red off and on throughout those first 6 hours.

I have high hopes for tomorrow and wish others will send happy thoughts our way for a happy, healthy little baby!

Claire's going to be a big sister!!

Yep, I'm pregnant with baby Wold #2!! We are so excited. It's funny that my last post was about a crazy pregnancy dream since the next day is when I found out! I worked Monday night and when I was sleeping Tuesday morning I woke up earlier then usual. All I kept thinking (while in a half awake half asleep state) was that I needed to take a test! I decided to get up to go to the bathroom since I wouldn't be able to sleep for a couple more hours. I took the test, set it on the counter and made my way back to bed like the zombie I was. I actually fell asleep for a couple more hours until my alarm went off. I woke up, walked back to the bathroom and to my amazement I found a positive pregnancy test.

Just like the time when I had my first positive test when I found out I was pregnant with Claire, I stared at myself in the mirror in disbelief. No way I'm pregnant!! I was expecting aunt flo this weekend and after that I was going to try ovulation test strips to see if I ovulate regularly. Just weeks prior to this we decided that we wouldn't wait until October to try for #2, that we may as well just start now since it may not happen right away. Who knew it would happen right away!

I stopped by Walgreens on my way to pick up Claire from Teresa's house to buy a couple more tests. It had been a couple hours since I took the test so I wanted to be sure it was real before I got too excited. I got home and took another test and sure enough it was still positive!! I had them on the counter in the bathroom hoping Chris would see them when he came home from work. Sure enough he had no need to go into the bathroom to see them so I wiped them off and let Claire carry them out to show Daddy!

I'm so excited and I have a feeling this pregnancy may go a lot faster then the one with Claire. She keeps me so busy that I find I don't have much time to constantly think about it. I was always so anxious for the doctor's appointments to hurry up and get here....now it's Monday and I have my first appointment tomorrow morning already!! I'm happy time is going by quickly so far! I'm hoping for a healthy, happy baby and to possibly be able to see the baby on the ultrasound if we're lucky enough to have one tomorrow! I'm also happy to have another Spring baby. I think I may be due early May! Claire will be a little over 2 years old by the time her little brother/sister is born.

Crazy enough as it sounds, right now I feel like I could go the whole pregnancy without knowing the sex of the baby! I think it would be fun to have a surprise. But once the opportunity is available I bet I will want to know! I guess we will see since I have plenty of time until we have that ultrasound appointment!
