Here she is from yesterday, Feb. 27th! She had lots of fun playing with her play-doh set she got from Grandma and Grandpa Wold for Christmas! We made a puppy with the purple!

Here she is this morning!! I love how candid this picture is! I just love her little laugh and her big smile!

She found her thermometer from her baby play set. You push a button and it beeps and she keeps checking our ears. I think she's gonna be a doctor when she grows up!

She wanted to help me make pancakes but wasn't thrilled again for me to take a picture of her in her apron I made for her. Such a little diva!

We had a pretty easy going day! Lots of play time, a little walk in the rain to get the mail and we both enjoyed her longer nap she took today! She slept for about 2 1/2 hours. Making up for going to bed late last night and waking up a bit early this morning I suppose. Sweet girl is in bed for the night and I'm hoping she'll stop talking long enough to actually fall asleep. She's been going for 35 minutes already!! So much to talk about I guess!

Momma! What We Gonna Do Today?

So it seems that it's going to be a rainy day. The weather website says 80% chance of rain and it's raining outside already! This pretty much means that Claire and I will be having a fun day inside! I have a few things in mind for us to do. We will most likely take our short walk in the rain later this morning to check the mailbox down the street.

I know for sure we are going to head to the library today. We haven't been in over a week and Claire hasn't seemed interested in the books she picked out last time anymore. I also have a few books on hold that I'm looking forward to picking up and reading.

I think it's fun sometimes to share a bagel with my sweet girl. Just a little date together we can always do as she gets older! It's been a couple weeks since we've gotten an Einstein bagel so I think today would be a good day to split one!

Chris and I have been taking Claire to her messy toddler class each Sunday morning this month. This Sunday will be our last class. It's a lot of fun and we learned that she absolutely loves glitter. I think it would be a lot of fun to do an art project with some glitter for her. It will give her something fun to mail out to the grandparents as well!

Now we are just enjoying some toast with jelly and watching Mickey Mouse for a little bit. During her nap time today I'm hoping to work on her pillowcase dress I started the other night. I went through all of my fabric that I've had for a little while to see what I could make. I forgot I had bought some really cute ladybug fabric to make something for Claire someday. Well that someday is this week and it's been fun. I saw a website (http://www.themotherhuddle.com/tutorial-fat-quarter-pillow-case-dress/) and decided to use some of the fat quarters I had that went well with the little ladybug fabric. It's all yellowish/creamish/tanish/whitish and I can't wait to see the final result. I just need to do some final touches on it and try it on her. Hopefully it works out or else it seems little sister will have a dress to grow into. Happy Wednesday all!

Claire's First Tattoo!

Claire's Papa Draze mailed her a monster truck earlier this the week! She loves to play with her trucks and cars! I'm glad Chris won't miss out on doing things like that with his girls! They can play with that fun stuff too. The monster truck she got came with a small sheet of tattoos so Chris helped her put some of them on tonight! Like I've said before she loves putting stickers all over herself so I knew she would think these were pretty neat!

Shopping Trip!!

I have had the strong urge to buy some new clothes for baby girl. I want her to have some of her own things too. Carter's is having a buy one get one free sale so I thought it would be fun for Claire and I to check it out! I found some newborn sized clothes that will be work for baby girl. I got about the same number of onesies that Claire had when she was a newborn. I know she will grow out of them quickly so I think we just need to work on the bigger sizes from now on. She doesn't need a whole new wardrobe. Just some new things in different sizes here and there!

Daddy's Girl!

Since I love shopping for Claire just as much as I love looking at newborn clothes she got to pick out something too! She loves butterflies and picked out the "futterfly" jammies as she calls them! I also love the rainbow dress!! She could wear a bunch of different colored leggings with it or colored shoes for this summer!

It was a fun trip and not too bad of a deal! I will always have lots of fun shopping for our girls! It will be interesting to see their personalities show through what they were as they get older and decide to choose their outfits for themselves!

Overwhelmed...Let's Write About It!

Since my day seems to be overwhelming me and it's putting me in a sad and bad mood I think if I write about it it will help. I don't want to feel this way for the rest of the day!

So yesterday afternoon I felt the urge to purge....all of our crap that is! I'm tired of having all of this stuff taking up room. I had stuff on the shelf in the closet that I haven't looked at in forever. I boxed up some things and it felt good. I was able to make room for things that needed it. I was able to empty another box. Now we just have 3 boxes left and we will officially be completely moved in. We also had a bunch of broken down boxes that needed to be taken to the recycling place. Since we moved here we haven't caught up on our recycling or trash for our bins. It's so annoying. I think I need to just order the bigger trash barrel since the small one they gave us is a joke and we can only fit 3-4 bags of trash. It doesn't seem like this small family of 3 almost 4 should make that much trash in a week but since we can't catch up on it we always have a stupid bag or 2 waiting to go in once the barrel is emptied on trash day! Enough about the trash now.

The dishes.....it's the one thing I don't care to do the most out of all of the cleaning I have to do. I don't mind vacuuming or laundry, mopping or sweeping....I just hate the dishes. I came into the kitchen when we got home from Winco for a quick trip and I started crying because there are damn dishes in the sink. I swear they never go away. I'm tempted to just buy paper plates and plastic utensil just so I won't have to do many dishes. We'll just throw it all away. Enough about the stupid dishes now.

I didn't pass my one hour glucose test by 8 small points. Now I have to go next week and do the 3 hour glucose test. Luckily it's super early but I am annoyed I have to spend 3+ hours at the hospital. Luckily I have a good book to read...that is if I don't finish it over the weekend. Luckily Chris can stay at home or else Claire would be stuck with me and that just sounds exhausting thinking about it!! I'm so grateful for my husband! I am super ungrateful to drink that drink again. Enough about the glucose test now.

Last night I posted up how I wanted to buy a million newborn clothes for our baby girl but I'll wait. I don't want her to have all hand me downs from Claire. I want her to have her own things too because it's not her fault she is born as the second daughter into our family. I don't think she should have to be stuck with hand me downs only considering we can afford to buy her some new clothes too. Obviously we won't buy a whole new wardrobe but a few things here and there are definitely ok and she deserves them just as much as Claire does. I got a comment on how their kids have all used clothes and nobody can tell. Never anywhere in my post did I say that used clothes were a bad thing (which seemed to me they were implying that's what I meant) or out of the question. All I said was that I didn't want her to have only all of Claire's clothes. It just rubbed me the wrong way. If I want to buy her a whole new wardrobe damn it then we will. If she were a boy then we would be doing it anyway. She will be a completely different baby/person from Claire and I think it's ok to buy her new clothes that are hers only! Plus I'm not even having a baby shower this time around (as far as I know) so we will be getting things throughout the pregnancy. Luckily the only big thing left that I can think of that we need to buy is a new crib mattress. Claire has hers on her toddler bed. Enough about baby stuff now!

I feel much better about typing it all out. We ate a good lunch. Watched a little bit of TV together and now Claire is down for her nap. I may read my book or watch my baby shows that I record on the DVR. I'm loving this rainy/gloomy weather today! Chris works for a little bit tomorrow but has Monday off!! I'm very happy about that. When he has to work on Saturdays it throws everything off for me and I miss him a lot. One day off every other weekend just isn't enough for me and I'm sure it's not enough for him also. He needs his days to relax too! We were watching a show about sandwiches and there was a part about Big Ass Sandwiches here in Portland. We are totally going to try it this weekend! I can't wait!

Justin Bieber...

I was helping Justin Bieber find his ear pieces so he could sing or something. I kept pulling on cords out of a bag. I told him there was only a certain kind I could find and I would have to switch to different ones then what he wanted. He started whining like a little kid and I remember feeling really irritated. He kept pretending to beat box and spin around. He was wearing black jeans and a purple hoodie. His sneakers were black and purple too. I kept wishing he would stop spinning around like he was. I started wondering how much this equipment cost since I'd never thought of it before and what it's like to wear the ear pieces. My dream ended.

Living Room Picnics and Story Time in the Closet!

We started out our morning sharing a bowl of cheerios in bed while Mickey Mouse Clubhouse was on. It's funny, she was the one that picked breakfast. She kept asking for cereal! After breakfast was finished we made our way to the living room! Claire asked me to help her put a diaper on her reindeer. It's a diaper for her and she wanted it on her tiny reindeer. haha She was so happy though and had fun rocking her baby.

She kept putting it in the baby crib and then taking it out to rock. She also kept grabbing it by the nose since the arms and legs were wrapped up inside the diaper.

We enjoyed a trip together to the craft store and checked out the sale at Old Navy! When we came back home we were excited to find a box on the porch! It was addressed to Claire!

She was so excited, she got a monster truck from Papa Draze and it came it tattoos also!

Lunch time was fun! I decided to have a picnic in the living room. It was totally quiet in the house except for us enjoying our lunch!

We ate cheese sandwiches, veggie puffs (Claire ate those), salt and vinegar chips and milk! We even treated ourselves to a little bit of chocolate pudding!

After our picnic she wanted to play in her room. She wanted to sit in her closet so I moved some things and made her own story time nook! She kept saying, "Night, night" and wanted to cover up with blankets!

We read a few stories together and now it's nap time. She is sleeping with her monster truck and dreaming away! Gotta love these moments! At the craft store we bought some water beads that you can use for plants. They are soaking up some water right now. I'm going to put them in a big bowl and let her have at it in the kitchen this afternoon.

Once Chris is home I'll have him help Claire with her tattoos that came with her monster truck! Of course I need to take loads of pictures of her first temporary tattoo. She loves putting stickers all over herself. I joke with Chris that she'll get sleeved out when she turns 18. haha. I don't think he likes that idea very much!

We are also back to going over names for baby girl! I'm not sure yet if I'm set on Lindsey. I'm hoping Chris will find some names that he likes. There is one name I picked that he seems to like and I really like it too. I'm 28w2d now and we still have plenty of time to decide. Tomorrow morning I have my glucose test. Luckily it's at 8am so I'm not planning on eating anything in the morning before I go. They say you can eat something but it's so early there isn't any point in possibly messing up my results. I don't want to end up doing the 3 hour test if I fail so I'm hoping for a good score when I'm done! Chris is also going to stay at home with Claire in the morning so she doesn't have to hang out with me at the doctor's office for so long! I have to be there for at least an hour after I drink the sugary drink and I know she would start to become antsy.

Just two more days until the weekend! I always look forward to the weekends when we can do things together as a family! Our weeks are pretty mellow and we like to be at home to relax! Happy Wednesday!

Valentine's Day!

We all started out our morning fairly early! Claire has been waking up again before 7am. I'm grateful she doesn't cry or anything though. She just says, "Moooommmmyyyyy!" and then I open her baby gate so she can come sit in bed with us and I'll turn on the Disney channel. While she sat on the bed I gave her her gift from us! She has been loving pretend jewelry so she got some new fun necklaces in fun colors and some bracelets that matched. I got her and myself dressed for the day and we were ready to make some breakfast!

I made heart shaped blueberry pancakes topped with strawberries and syrup! Mmmm!

She dove right in without even touching her fork! Who needs utensils anyway? Hands are much easier to use! And you can also see that her bow in her hair didn't last long!

Here she is sitting on our bed after breakfast with her other goodies. She got her new outfit, a heart shaped balloon and the book "Green Eggs and Ham"!

She loved walking around with her balloon! We even took it with us when we went on a walk down to the mailbox to check the mail!

Lunch time meant heart shaped grilled PB&J sandwiches, string cheese, and later I sliced up more strawberries since I bought a gigantic pack of them at Costco the day before!

I love her big girl smile! All of her teeth have changed her little face so much! It makes me happy and sad at the same time! Our sweet girl is growing up too fast!

Chris brought me home a box of chocolates and a card with the Twilight characters on it!! Haha I love it, he's so funny! I made a gourmet meal of heating up frozen taquitos and that was pretty much it for the night. We had our nightly routine with our sweet girl and then we relaxed together! It was a pretty good day! I'm glad Chris and I enjoyed a date night together this past weekend since we don't get a ton of time together once he gets home from work!
