Tired Tuesday

Kellyn finally slept in her bed all night long and we all slept in until 8am. So awesome!! The girls are both feeling yucky but getting better. Lots of resting today...well trying to get the girls to rest. They have been playing well for the most part today. Unfortunately we missed Claire's riding lesson last night and she was pretty bummed.

 

This morning the girls were walking around the house on the hunt for a fly. They had their little lady bug dome and they said they wanted to see a fly up close. That sparked my interest in fireflies. Chris and I told them how fireflies light up in the dark and we would be able to see some this summer. Claire thought that was so cool. We looked up a video about them and came along this one from Tennessee. I thought it was so interesting. Maybe we will get a chance to see them ourselves since we will only be hours away from Tennessee. Unless this happens somewhere around Georgia. We looked up a couple firefly crafts on Pinterest and Claire asked if we could do some tomorrow.

 

After packing a lot of boxes yesterday afternoon the girls found their cardboard castle in the closet. We take it out every once in a while for a couple days at a time and they have fun coloring it and playing inside. They even ate lunch in it too. On the outside of the cardboard castle is a picture of a frog with a crown on it's head. Claire started to color it blue and red. She said she was being silly because frogs should be green. I told her that there are many different colored frogs so we looked up pictures and videos. We watched this one together and she thought they were pretty cool. She doesn't understand the poison part and she asked if we could go try to find some.

 

Tomorrow morning is our Little Villagers class. I had signed up for making playdough toward the end of February but since we won't be here we were able to switch activities and I made some to bring in tomorrow. I made blue, red and yellow so if the kids mix the colors they make new colors. I know the girls like to mix it all and it usually just turns into a brown blob. Maybe with the primary colors they can see what different colors make. Hopefully we will be feeling well enough tomorrow morning to stay throughout the class.

 

It's been a pretty good day. We finally signed our lease, we needed to make sure the pet deposit was on there for Jake. We will mail out our security deposit and rent and get our walkthrough date scheduled prior to moving in. Getting lots of the important paperwork requested and all put together.
